
Preferences - Dial!List General Settings
For communicating with the FRITZ!Box you have to enter the access data of your FRITZ!Box. Until this step you can use Dial!List. Furthermore you have to enter your country and city prefix, therewith incoming and outgoing calls can call correct as well as the name can be found in the Addressbook.
Choose Menu > Preferences... and choose the profile you want to edit. In General you can edit this settings.
FRITZ!Box Access Data:
Required are Hostname or IP-Address and the password of your FRITZ!Box. The Hostname is as-delivered condition fritz.box and the IP-Address 192.168.178.1. Your password will be saved encrypted in the Keychain.
To validate your entered data click in the "Check" Button. If your data was entered correct, and the FRITZ!Box is available in the network, there appears green images besides the text fields. For wrong values there appears red crosses, and you should recheck your entered data. For a successful check there will be also displayed the model and firmware version of your FRITZ!Box. This version number should be at least the version which is required in the system requirements.
Country- and City prefix:
In the text field Country Prefix your country prefix must be entered. For Germany is this e. g. 0049. In the first text field you have to enter for this example 00 and into the second text field 49. The leading 0 of the city prefix have to entered in the first text field and the following numbers, e. g. 951, in the second text field.
Reversesearch and further preferences:
To solve the phone number in a name, and the number is not stored in your Addressbook, you can use the Reversesearch which tries to get the name. For this you should select your country from the pulldown menu.
The Checkbox Confirm and preferences dialog before dial action should be checked, if you do the call from the Widget, Address Book, and you want to confirm the dial action. In addition you can change some call options in this dialog.
